For More Information:

Did you know?   "More teen-agers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia and influenza, and chronic lung disease, combined." Additionally, "Suicide is now the eighth leading cause of death in Americans." - the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention

Other statistics we've seen:  70 percent of teens who attempt suicide have divorced parents, and 70 percent tell their friends of their intentions. Please be wary of teaching your child to not "rat" on a friend, and do make sure you keep lines of communication open with your own teens.
